What to Look for Before Renting
Proximity to University
Do not live more than 30 minutes from university by public transport. Every extra minute adds up daily over years of study.
Safety & Building
Ensure there is 24/7 security, CCTV cameras and a locked gate. Do not compromise on safety for the sake of price.
Internet Connection
Internet speed is essential for studying. Ask about speed and stability before signing — at least 30 Mbps.
Contract & Terms
Read the contract carefully. Confirm cancellation terms, deposits (usually 2 months' rent) and what is and isn't included.
